Building a pc is not that tough as you think, but then you'll ask why build when company offers hundreds of variety of pc.

Why should you build your own pc

Building your own pc will save your money. Brands sell pc at higher price to earn profits.

Every part of the pc will be of your choice since you are building it.

If you are not a computer geek and don't know much about computers, then while building a pc your knowledge will be widely increased especially in hardware.

Let's do it

Now you have decided to build your own pc, now lets start it. But first of all prepare yourself and make a cup of coffee (by chance if you failed).

The brain of the pc -Processor

Now starts the real thing, you first need to decide that which processor your pc will need.

If you are a gamer I'd strongly recommend you to go for intel core 3rd generation processors since they are new and quiet futuristic.

If you choose to go for very little movies and browsing, you only want to use ms-office for business work then go for old processors like celeron, pentium etc.

The main point here is you need to look after your needs, how you want to use your pc, but if you want to use your pc only for gaming and movies don't buy weak processor or you'll regret it sooner or later.

Memory of pc -Ram

Again RAM is very important in building a pc. Again there are 2 things

Which pc do you want to build a gaming one, hardcore which will support all the latest games or a normal one for a little browsing work. Remember if you want to do video editing or photoshop I'll recommend you a good gigabyte of RAM.

Ok now if you want to play modern games like Crysis 3, GTA 4, Call Of Duty modern warfare series and other future games then you should choose at least 8 GB of memory or your fps rate will be very low.

There currently are 2 types of RAM which are very popular i mean DDR2 and DDR3 ram.

But DDR3 provide more performance as compared to DDR2 so i recommend you buy DDR3 ram and they are very cheap also.

An 8GB DDR3 RAM will cost you around 90 to 100 usd.

MOTHERBOARD

The most important part of the computer, remember first decide which RAM and Processor you want then decide your motherboard.

There are thousand of motherboards are available online and retailers. But choose very carefully you need to see if your motherboard supports the socket that your processor have. for eg:

If you are buying an intel core i3 or i5 series processor you should look for the motherboard that supports the socket LGA-1155.

Also buy the motherboard according to which RAM you are using if it's DDR2 make sure the motherboard supports your RAM and if it's DDR3 buy a motherboard that supports DDR3 ram.

Also choose the case(cabinet) that supports the motherboard. If your motherboard is micro atx or am3+ choose the cabinet accordingly or you have to buy a new one.

If you want to run intel core i 3rd generation processors you should go for MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard. An excellent motherboard around 80 usd

GRAPHICS MEMORY

You should buy a graphics card otherwise your graphics memory will be eaten from your RAM and if your RAM will be low your computer will die. These days graphics card are not expensive you can buy a decent graphics card for gaming and video editing around 50-100 usd. If you want to play modern games at high resolution then move your budget a little above 100.

If you are a average user get a graphics card around 50 usd. I bet it can easily satisfy all your needs.

STORAGE HARD DISK

Hard disk are also cheap these days. Get around 1 TB of hard disk if you want to do video editing.

If you are interested in both video editing, HD movies, High end gaming try to get yourself a 2TB hard disk which will probably cost you around 100- 150 usd.

Try to get yourself an external 3.5 inch hard disk instead of a portable one.

CPU CASE (CABINET)

We have decided almost everything but what about cpu case. Where will you place your motherboard

Try to get your self a good looking cpu case if you are placing your computer into your living room.

But if you are tight on budget go for a 50 dollar case, i guess that is not beyond your budget.

But if you can add some more bucks to your budget go for a 100 dollar one. 50 or 100 don't matter what always matter is weather the case support the motherboard for which you are looking. Always remember to check the specs of the cpu.

POWER SUPPLY

If you are a ultimate gamer get yourself a power supply around 700 watts. If an average one try a 400 watts psu.
But don't ever get yourself a low power psuhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls if your PC specifications are very high otherwise it'll reduce the life of your cpu components. and even processor.
NOTE:- If your PC is giving blue screen errors or unusual restarts probably the cause of this problem could be low power supply

Monitor

Monitor can be a little costlier depending upon your use. An HD monitor with a resolution of 1920*1200 will be a decent one. If you want to watch HD movies and you are a gaming freak then buy a good HD monitor with around 20-25 inch screen size. A good monitor will cost you around 150 to 200 usd.

But if you don't want game and want to use your PC as a standard one. You can buy a PC around 100 usd.

Although it won't support HD display and resolution will be low too. But if you want a standard one go for 100 usd one.

CONGRATULATIONS YOU JUST DECIDED THE COMPONENTS OF PC

The easier part ends. Now you need to compile all the parts together and get your PC working

Although I rather recommend you to hire engineer and tell him to build PC for yourself because you can bring damage to very sensitive part of the CPU like Processor and other things.
